I just picked up a T410 because of the recent Thinkpad sale and I've never had an SSD before but responsiveness and durability are my top priorities for this machine.

Which SSD would you recommend for a budget of $100? Also planning to dual boot Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7 for programming and office work respectively. Estimating good ranges for space between 40GB to 64GB.

My son has T410, which I have learned a little about. What about hetting the adapter/cradle they have that you take the Optical Drive out and you can put in another hard drive.

That would allow you to get a small in GB size SSD for your OS. You could then use a mechanical HDD for your programs, etc. For $100.00, your not going to be able to get a SSD with much size for anything else besides your OS. Just my thoughts!
