    Hi guys,

Like the title says, i have a Mid-2009 15" Macbook Pro. It's been great these years but i feel like it's nearly time for a performance boost and i can't think of a better way than to slap an SSD inside.

From what i've read, my notebook runs on SATA1. I've done some research and read great things about drives like the Samsung 830 and Crucial m4, but can't help but think that a lot of the money spent on performance drives like those would be wasted because of the SATA1 bottleneck. With that said, I'd like to ask for some suggestions on budget 240/256gb SSD drives that would suit me better. That is, provide the performance boost im looking for (which i think just about any SSD would do) without needlessly breaking my bank.

    Thanks!

830 and M4 are very reliable SSDs, you can always use them in another laptop when you want to upgrade to a newer laptop. You won't be disappointed with these drives.
