What is the best SSD that I can purchase for under $150? I am looking especially at something with SATA III capabilities.
I have looked at the crucial m4 and samsung 470

Right now there is a deal on newegg for a Vertex 2 60gb for 89.99, is that a good deal?

No, I'm pretty sure the Vertex 2 is not SATA III. But it doesn't matter if your laptop doesn't support SATA III speeds. Do you have one of the newer SB processors?

If so, then I suggest going for the 64GB m4. Also, the Samsung 470 is not SATA III.

.....Umm...there is no i7 6730 processor. It sounds like you have the 2630QM or the 2720QM.

Either ways, both are SATA III so you're all set. Happy hunting.

Don't only listen to me :) Do a little bit of research and find out what others think.

Yes pull the trigger on the M4 64GB. There's nothing better in that price range..

Well unless you need higher sequential write speeds then the Samsung 470 is better.

I would go with Crucial M4 also, a friend just bought one and loving it, no issues for him, here some benchmarks he ran on AMD desktop setup,
