I just purchased a Gigabyte aero 14, which has only a single ssd slot. The plus side is that it's nvme compatible, even if it's rather annoying that I can't just drop <$200 to have something quick for the OS, and something cheap for everything else.

My budget is ideally less than 500, but I'd spring for a great deal on something a bit higher. I want at least 1 TB Nvme. I'm currently considering the intel 6000p, Samsung 960 EVO, or the WD Black model. They are all quite similar in price, but I'm wondering if some of the other traits of the brands, like their warranty or durability that might help me make the decision.

    Thanks!

Why that title for this question? As well, Samsung is the name brand drive, but its up to you to decide

Because the OP did what a lot of people do and confuse RAM for hard disk storage. I'll ask a mod to fix the title.

To answer the OP's question, Samsung is generally the way to go in terms of SSD storage. They tend to cost a bit more but are well regarded for their speed and reliability.

With a budget of $500, you can go for the Samsung 970 PRO 1TB which is $500 here in the U.S.
