I am in the market for a new laptop and would like to purchase one from a manufacturer who provides good support for parts identification and parts ordering. Please let me know if you can recommend a vendor who provides ready access to parts manuals and sells a full line of repair parts directly to the consumer. And thanks for your help!

You are probably going to look at the big 3 of business laptops, HP, Dell and Lenovo.

My personal preference is Dell and Lenovo as they specifically label with DP/N or FRU/CRU. HP's Partsurfer is acting funky with the newest laptops and the problem is you can't search the parts your specific laptop came with, only what the whole series got.

edit: Also on Dell and Lenovo's site you can input your serial number/service tag and find the part numbers of your original configuration.
