Hi I'm not sure if this is the correct area to post this.
I'm looking to get a 3D external monitor for a sager laptop. It will mostly be used in 2D but would like to see a 3D movie once in a while.
I'm looking for something in the 23"-24" category and would like it to be plug and play.
I see Samsung is coming out with a bunch of new monitors in march.
I haven't boughtan external monitor in 8-9 years.
    Thanks

I don't know much about 3D LCDs, but I would choose the one with highest brightness, as today's 3D (with active shutter glasses) is known to reduce brightness a lot.

if your graphics adapter and drivers (and your media player) aren't 3D capable then you'll be wasting your time and $$$$.

nVidia is the 3D system I'll likely be using on a Sager 8150 laptop with a 460M graphics card and a Blu-ray player.
The monitor is more of an issue at this point.
There aren't many out there but some seem to be good and others not so much.

As marecki said, look for the one with highest brightness level.
When I use 3d stuff in my laptop, it was usually best when I played in night.
In day, the color and brightness were really low.
