    Does it matter? Can I just use Windows Backup? I want to remove a larger SSD from one laptop and put in a smaller one.

    Laptop One: Kingston V+100 96GB --> 60 GB OCZ Agility 3
    Laptop Two: WD Blue 320GB HDD --> 60 GB OCZ Agility 3

    The SSD to SSD should maintain alignment correct? What's best way to do the HDD to SSD?

    How about this: http://betanews.com/2011/12/12/get-oos-ssd-migration-kit-for-free/

    Windows 7 Backup and Restore will align SSDs as far as I know. You'll have to use Computer Management to shrink the partitions that are being copied over so that they'll fit into 60GB before you start the process though.

    I see you changed your sig today. Congrats!

    I haven't had an issue with Acronis TI and SSD cloning.

    Thanks. So far Windows Backup and Recovery seems to be working wonderfully. Kudos to Microsoft for making a useable product!

    Actually since both machines were identical, I just backed up the needed contents that were on the HDD and used the image from the one with the SSD, then just restored the contents, and all is well. So I guess no idea if HDD to SSD works properly...
