    hello i havnt been up to date with laptop hardware. just wondering whats the best hd out there for laptops i have the oem 160gb and its not enough for me! thanks and all help apprieciated

    Depends. If you want absolute speed, a 7.2k drive is the better pick. But due to the current density of platters, a 5.4k drive is very close behind. I prefer Western Digital, the Scorpio Black is pretty sweet, but Hitachi's are also great. You may want to wait till the new 7.2k500 is out, officially and in force, to help drive down other prices.
