Buying a notebook from xoticpc.com, buying this one.

Wondering whether anyone knew of any wifi upgrade guides and whether anyone could recommend me a card that's better than the 5100 which people are telling me not to get.

Would most wireless cards be compatible with my lappy?

The 5300 is the only thing "better" but will you notice the difference? Probably not.

    +1. Agreed.

    I've had experience with 4965AGN's, 1000, 5100, 5300 and 5350's for the Draft-N miniPCIe cards...

If your notebook comes with an Intel WiFi 5100, I wouldn't spend any more to upgrade to a 5300.

    Cheers,
    Kermee

Well 5300 is your best bet... but if you have 5100 , i think its more than enough.. of course this is a cheap upgrade but i don't think your gonna see much difference..
