    I'm lookin into getting an M17X and don't want tot give dell $1000 for the processor when I can just pop a new one in myself for cheaper. What are some sites to get the CPU at? There is one place on ebay, but thats $600 and I'd like to go lower then that. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to cut costs as much as possible and not performance. Thanks guys, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Ebay's usually the best bet for CPUs. If you wait around, or if you're willing to go ES, you might get it lower. Another choice is checking if users on this site have one for sale.

    e-bay and just keep a look out.. you can find them for $500 sometimes but anyway $600 is better than paying dell 1K for a QX9300...
