Hey guys, I need a replacement power cord for a Compaq Presario V2000. Is there a reputable place you would suggest I buy it from without having to spend the $70 for a universal charger or through HP?

    Thanks a ton!

Here is a much better deal for a power cord:
    http://computerlogin.com/sales/productfile/Y_HPAC3_5A.html

I dont know the reseller ratings, but If I were you, I would use paypal for purchasing rather than your credit card. Its just that I never heard of the site before.

The site should save you $50

The reseller ratings for that place are not good at all, so I'm hesitant to use them. I do appreciate the response though.

    Any other places?

Get a known brand if its a universal adapter. Make sure it is 100% compatible. I dont trust no brand adapters. Make sure get a brand like Targus or something

I would also compare the specs from your old power cord (voltage, amps,Hz and watts)
