So my gaming club want to do some streaming, but the only capable laptop doing so is my m14xR2 (all others have a dual core CPU, and while they would be sufficient for 30 FPS gaming at HD, we would like a bit more).
However, I'm not sure if my i7-2630QM is capable of a stready stream, especially since it hits 44w and 80 C in my laptop on a consistent basis when we ran a test stream with it. Would getting a better CPU (something in the Ivy Bridge family) be best (a noticeable improvement) or should I stick with the CPU?
(Note: I used to have an i7-3740QM in the laptop, but it got damaged along with my first motherboard, and I know that CPU got close to the i7-3770 in my desktop.).
