    hi, im thinking to upgrade my
    inspiron 6400 Wireless Lancard

    currently it has "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945 Dual Band 802.11a/b/g 54Mbps"
    on the machine

    what are the wireless land cards are there?
    which i mean higher version or better or newest

    You can get the Intel 4965AGN, Intel 5100, or Intel 5300. Your card has 2 antenna plugs, and the other wireless cards have 3. So you have 3 options. 1 open you your computer and see if you have 3 antenna cords. 2nd just use 2 antenna cords(wont be as fast as 3). 3rd add your own 3rd antenna.
