    I'm trying to get my screen replaced with Gateway because of dead pixel and I was told they have Samsung, AUO and LG screens. Mine actually is the AUO mentioned at the title. It's a good screen, but I can't say more because I don;t know how the LGPhilips one feels.

    Did a little search at the forums and google and came to conclusion that the LGPhilips LCD is better (both 17.3") in general, but AUO also gets good screens.

    As I have the exact name of the screens used by them (but not Samsung), could anyone out there say which one is better? If they can replace mine, I will ask for a LGPhilips one because of the feedback... or it's not a good deal?
