Hi,
I just took off the heatsink to clean it and the CPU.
When I took the heatsink off, the CPU is stuck to the heatsink. I twisted the CPU left and right, and it came off.
I clean the surface of the CPU until I saw the logo.
I don't know if that layer has anything to do with cooling the CPU.
What should I do now? Please help.

I'm assuming that is the heat sink paste. In reality it shouldn't be acting as an adhesive but just to cover up any empty areas between the CPU and the heatsink to provide complete heat transfer...

What you need now is some more thermal paste to replace the ones you cleaned off. And some proper thermal paste cleaning solution to clean the surface of the heat sink and CPU.
You will need the pair of these...

Here is a link to a decent guide on thermal pastes...

Hope this helps,

It is fine as long as you did not break or bend any of the cpu pins.
If your cpu is stuck to your heatsink, the paste has been installed properly, and their is very minimal air pockets, which means that their is more paste to heatsink than air to heatsink, which means it is harder to remove. Also a lot of heat can make the paste melt to the cpu and the heatsink, so if you use a bit of rubbing alcohol., you can remove the cpu easier. (just a tip for next time)
