I'm thinking of upgrading my Inspiron N5110 (sandy bridge generation) with 90gb Corsair Force SSD and Bigfoot wireless card. And I'd like to know if there is a chance that this network card will not work on N5110? I'm going to order it from ebay so if it will not work it will be a great disappointment and waste of money for me.

Or maybe somebody can recommend another good wireless network card to replace stock intel 1030?

Actually, that's a really old b/g card. Won't even fit in the N5110.

i'm noticing the killers are stubby version :( i hope the they have a longer version, might cool to drop one in the Acer. Suppose i could make a thin metal strip that extends from the stud all the way to the card holding it down, sort of a flap.

have no idea but, the guest ion is now weather to use the slot for ssd or killer NIC. they told me a SSD wouldn't work but if it fits in the slot and the bios supports mpcie booting i don't see why i wouldn't work, short of a different pin out or lack of pin out, like a core2quad in a pm965.
