Hello everyone!
I recently purchased a refurbished x250 Thinkpad off eBay. I only just received it today, and of course I turn it on to check out the system firsthand. Problem is, I turn it on, the keyboard backlight flashes, the dot above the i glows red, the power button glows green, and I can hear the fan running. Only the monitor stays black... Sort of. If I look at the monitor from the side, I can see the "impression" of what should be on the screen. I can even "see" the cursor if I move it around carefully with the trackpad or the trackpoint. It's currently on the Windows 8 set up page.
So I'm not quite sure how to proceed, the CPU, memory, keyboard and everything else seems to be working fine, except for the monitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Contact the seller, explain nicely what is going on with the ThinkPad, and he should meet you halfway and repair or replace the machine. And be friendly about it.
