Hi all,
I have just bought an HP Pavilion DV2535ea and I am very happy with the system but have been really shocked by the amount of bloatware that came pre loaded on it. I have since removed all of the offending programs and installers (or at least I believe I have) but I still find that my system isnt running as well as I would have hoped. Startup isnt very fast and for quite a while afterwards the HDD keeps seeking, I have tried defragmenting the drive but this hasnt solved the problem.
Do you think the bloatware may have been responsible for this? I want to avoid reinstalling Vista unless I have to, do you think it would be worthwhile?
Thanks

i would recommend going to start>run>msconfig and clearing out the other programs you have running. If you are using vista you have to go ctrl+alt+delete run task manager and to go file>run and then type in msconfig
i am not sure if bootvis works on vista yet but ill let you know if does *bootvis makes xp bootup in 30 seconds its a microsoft optimizing tool that was phased out early on... its said that bootvis is incorporated in vista i highly doubt that but i will read on for you man =)* -

If you have a flash memory device lying around, plug that in and see if Vista can use it for ReadyBoost.
Bloatware effecting performance?
