    2.) It has an HDMI, so it could connect to either (HDMI or DVI using an HDMI-DVI adapter).

    3.) You should be able to connect to 2 monitors (1 using the VGA & the other using the HDMI).

    My next question is: The system that I have ordered has a 1600 x 900 screen resolution with a nVidia 540M 1GB GPU. If I connect this to a monitor via HDMI that has a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Once the laptop is connected to the monitor, will it take advantage of the 1920 x 1080 resolution or will it stretch out 1600 x 900 to fit 1920 x 1080 and look like crap?

    It will output to 1920X1080 unless you want to mirror your desktop.
