I'm just wondering if I should add a blue-ray optical drive. I don't really watch many movies (the occasional Hot Fuzz, Back to the Future etc...) and I don't mind the quality. I would save quite a bit without the blu ray drive. and my m17x budget is £1500. Any suggestions?

If it is not a Blu-Ray burner, there is no point (as long as you have another Blu-Ray player available).

Save the $$ and get a dual drive bay setup system ready to accept an SSD and a 1TB HDD soon. :)
