Hey, this is a laptop im planning on purchasing. I've decided however, that I may want blu-ray capability, in which case to stay in budget I'll have to change the 2.4 ghz core 2 duo processor to a 2.2 ghz processor. I'm a film major who needs to do major video editing, special effects, and I enjoy gaming and want to do so without an issues (eyebleeding graphics isnt a necessity.) My question is, will sacrificing 2.4 ghz to 2.2 ghz going to hurt me heavily? Is it a worth it and will I feel any difference?

    I deleted your other post.

As for the notebook, you would want a Blu-Ray drive, which the notebook doesn't seem to have. As for the processor, going from 2.0ghz to 2.4ghz 'may' result in a 5-20 second time frame loss(a good thing), so it's not worth it. If anything, more RAM and a 7200rpm HD would be a better upgrade.

I agree with Cori. You will notice a much faster load time with a 7200 hard drive vs a 2.4 processor. And given that GPU is the bottleneck in gaming you won't notice much if any difference with 2.2ghz vs a 2.4ghz processor.
