Take a look at Sony's VAIO line of laptops; Blu-ray is most common among Sony computers. Another laptop that I know to use Blu-ray is Dell's Studio 15.

I got the HP dv7-1020us with blue ray, and works awesome. Just when you play one, you need to disable the laptop display and allow the secondary display be your HDTV with the hdmi cable.

And then sit down, take the remote control included and enjoy high definition movies :D

Best blue ray that i have seen is Transformers. This need be your first movie to enjoy.

I'd really look for a laptop that has HDMI out to make life easier for you.

    A lot easier.

HDMI probably is a good idea; some TV's require that for full 1920x1080 resolution. Though if you've got 1280x720 HD, that's not that much of a concern and HDMI isn't quite as necessary.

Also, you ought to get at least a low-end dedicated graphics card (GeForce 8400 GS/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 or better), or the ATI Radeon HD 3200 if you get integrated. nVIDIA and Intel's integrated cards, as well as ATI's older ones, are questionable at best when it comes to supporting Blu-Ray playback, let alone at full HD resolution.

But with those considerations, using a laptop as a Blu-Ray player ought to work just fine. Just remember to have the power cord connected if the battery life isn't quite enough for a full feature film!
