    I have Dell XPS 501x with a blue-ray drive and Nvidia 420 GPU.

    Can you use my XPS laptop to play 3D movie and display on panasonic 3D plasma TV? can blue-ray drive in my laptop read and play Avatar movie in 3D?

    Nope but you will need software to play the bluray. I recommend powerdvd 10 or 11.
