Anybody using it? Is it really good?
Thinking about grabbing one of these: One, Two to accompany my freshly bought Intel 9260 AC.

I'd definitely wait for some reviews to surface on Newegg before buying one of those. Given how recently this technology has made it to market, devices like that are just coming out, and first gens of anything tend to have their share of problems.

@Charles P. Jefferies I read reviews of some headphones based off the same chipset, and they were positive - but these devices being noname and all, there's always a chance manufacturers screwed up without even realizing it and/or taking any care. Still, these are very interesting, albeit pricey...

They're inexpensive enough that if it ends up being a bust, you're not out on the curb. Nonetheless, good point about the no-name. What kind of after-sales support do these devices have ... that's a mystery.

Found this, seems very nice and has positive reviews. Too bad they don't accept PayPal - always having second thoughts about purchasing on Aliexpress for that reason.

Bluetooth 5.0 on the 9260ac seems to work just fine I use it with my Anker SounCore Spirit X BT5.0 earphones without issue. Intel, if it includes new tech usually makes sure it’s stable they’re usually not ones to jump on “draft” versions of specs. Same goes with Apple which also is on BT5.0 as of the 8/X series. No issues with my Anker on my 8 Plus either.

I was actually going to buy one of those BT5.0 adapters for my car, or at least one similar to the ones in your first post. For max compatibility however codec wise I would choose one that supports AAC as well in addition to AptX.

@Aivxtla so Windows displays AptX notification upon Bluetooth connection, right?

My Anker is AAC only, no AptX support. I believe Dell was the only one AFAIK that bundled AptX enabled drivers. Probably didn’t want to pay royalties to use a CSR (Owned by Qualcomm since 2010) codec just like Apple.

Pretty sure it (9260ac) supports AAC though. But yeah if you want AptX badly you may need to look elsewhere. Try the 1550/9260ac drivers on the Dell G7 support site, it may or may not have it.

@Aivxtla I had very negative experience with Dell AptX drivers (used them for 8260) - couldn't use non-AptX devices when they were installed, playback became choppy right away. I would honestly prefer if Bluetooth devices used MP3 without any transcoding, but Bluetooth is such a mess and there is no way to force particular configuration, sadly - be it MP3 or AAC, instead of terrible SBC. I'll contact suppliers about AAC support anyway, thank you!
