    Are internal bluetooth modules separate from the wireless cards, or are they integrated in the wireless cards?

    Are internal bluetooth modules compatable with all normal notebooks, or are there some that are compatable and some that aren't?

    If they are separate....

    What are good brands of internal bluetooth modules for notebooks and where can I buy them?

    Usually, they are seperate. But some mini-PCI cards have BT with it.

    You can't add BT to all notebooks, as you need a dedicated space inside reserved for the module itself. Your best bet for an internal card is to buy a miniPCI wireless with bluetooth. Check NewEgg or ZipZoomFly if they have any(they should..)

    As coriolis said. Search for an MSI card. They are the only ones I know who sell such Wifi & BT cards in retail.

    Hi spud,

    Again a similar reply as in other thread - check my signature notebook review. That is how they do it when the notebook comes with the "optional USB interface for Bluetooth" or something.

    It is similar to wi-fi b/g - same frequency (I think 2,4GHz), but slower. It is intended to connect small devices in a 10meter range.
