Okay so recently i added a 7200RPM Hard Drive and a 2.5ghz Processor to my computer.
But oddly, with my brothers computer (Exactly the same except he doesnt have the upgrades meaning he has a 5400RPM Hard Drive and a 1.66ghz processor) His boots alot faster than mine, He even has tons of processes at startup! Much more than me.
I Checked his event viewer and his Average boot time according to windows is 130000ms. But mine is usually around 210000 - 240000 ms. I do use my computer more than he does but i dont see why that would cause a signifgant slowdown like mine.

I Have determined that it could quite possibly be my graphics driver. Not very sure at the moment, But my computer likes to remain at a black screen before the mouse shows up for a bit longer than my brothers does.

Seems like you have spywares hiding or something that slows down your computer.

I would do a clean install and try it out :)

Thats not good to have tons of that type applications... My suggestion to you is; Install a clean copy of vista, do not install tons of spyware applications you are on the right way with Kaspersky Internet Security 8 Just try it out ;)
I have used it for about 3 years (not the same version ofcourse), with no trobble...
    Give it a try ;)
