Okay so I am currently looking at xotic pc to get a custom build pc, one that should last for a while with great care and would be able to play games at max graphics now and to come along in the future.
The computer I have my eyes set on right now is : MSI GE70 Apache Pro-012
Now there are many options ( A lot not necessary and just put there to increase the amount of cash received from the customer.) But I know the graphics can't be changed sadly, nor can it be upgraded to dual graphics. I get that 16 ram is a bit much but could possibly be worth it in the future. I am interested in overclocking and adding extra cooling as well but is that something that could shorten the computers life span? "w/ 72% NTSC Color Gamut" I haven't the slightest clue what that means is that worth an extra 149$? Solid State mSATA SDD Drive's, are they worth upgrading to or are they just something that's not going to boost a gaming performance, where that's all I am really looking for. Considering my hard drive has about 500gb already and its almost full I would be going for a Tb hard drive. But there are a lot of different kinds I haven't the slightest clue whats the best bang for your buck. What is X-Fi Sound technology and does it really make the sound better noticeably otherwise I would just be using my desktop speakers. Is the XOTIC PC Backlit Island Style Keyboard something to get, does it have a higher reaction for when rapid button pressing is used during gaming or is it just a different design. Oh and there is two types of overclocking GPU and OS does the OS overclocking really do anything when overclocked as far as gaming goes? Bloatware removal is something I would love, problems with the extra crap added on to my pc I have now have persisted til I found the actual applications buried beneath other applications that have similar names. Other then that there isn't really anything else that needs to be asked about building a pc on this website.
I should mention that I have a predetermined amount of cash that hasn't been specified except that its around 1800 - 3500 I know that's a wide range sorry but until the next week or so I cannot give a more rounded number.
With that being said if there is a computer with high enough graphics to out beat or match an alien ware 17 pc within that price range ( for with alienware all you are paying for is a logo like apple) I would take suggestions hopefully with at least three pc's high medium and low price ranges. Other then the high graphics and performance I am looking for a computer with three key features. 1. Back lit customizable keyboard and (optional) mouse pad. 2. Good webcam. 3. Lastly though I can live without this but I would like to be able to program keys to function as short cuts for example F1 to open Google Chrome. (If that is even possible.)
