okay i have a gaming notebook currently and i want to cannibalized it into a new one.

I have a 17" notebook that is more trouble then its worth, i am thinking of upgrading the processor when i do the rebuild and i want to upgrade the RAM for 2 to 4gbs and perhaps upgrade my 200gb Hard-drive to a 300gb but thats the maybe. i want to keep all my other components including the LCD display i have and there in lays the problem...where can i get a shell that is that empty i cant find any barebones that are the "bare".

or should i take the opportunity to get a higher portable 15.4" Display for better portability as i am off to college soon...any input is greatly welcomed
