    Built in card reader not working - HP dv1100

    Hello friends,

    I was wondering if one of you might be able to assist me.

    I have an HP dv1100 laptop.

    It has a 6-1 built in media drive that has decided to stop working. Never had any problems with it before, and honestly dont use it that often. from time to time i just pulled photos off of my xD card.

    Went to put it in yesterday and nada.. nothing.. it is like it is not on or something.

    anyways.. i have no idea how to go about trying to figure out what is wrong or correct that.

    any help would be greatly appreciated.

    at the risk of sounding like a moron, how would i go about finding the driver that i may need to download?

    Go to hp.com, in the search field type in "HP dv1100", then choose Software&Drivers download
