    Price conscious reader,
I am wondering if waiting one month would save me a few bucks on HD and RAM.
The reason I'm asking is because I'm going for a vacation this weekend and won't use the notebook for about a month.

If I upgrade HD (looking at Seagate 100GB 7200rpm ST910021A) and add one GB RAM (corsair value crap) now, I will only use them for 4 days anyway.

Would I save money if I just wait till I return from vacation a month from now?
    Thanks.

HD you may save some money because prices on those generally go down with time, never up. Always new technology coming out for HD, such as the perpendicular recording technology. Also there are bigger drives coming out which eventually push down prices as well.

RAM however fluctuates due to market demand and supply. It does generally go down but there is always the chance it could go up a little, however small.

Personally I'd think about waiting til after you came back considering chances are it'll either stay the same or go down.
