My ac adapter for my laptop is making this buzzing noise (subtle but still there) whenever its pluged in. It still works and all its just making this noise. Is this bad? Do you think I risk something plugging it into my laptop?

Was it always like that?
AC adapters could produce buzzing due to low quality inductors/capacitors used inside of them. Doesn't mean that they will blow up or anything.
If this is something that developed recently, you might want to contact your manufacturer (if under warranty) to get a replacement.
If it has always been like this check with other owners of the same laptop to make sure that you don't have a defective power brick. -
It is my second laptop from the same model. I am sure now that the AC is defective. Noise had increased on the last charges, it's audible all over the room. So I requested an RMA. Ac adpater on the first laptop wasn't making any audible noise, even from 2-3 feet.
Things is I am 2-3 days from receving a new one as a replacement. But this noisy AC adapter continue to recharge my laptop well, from what I know. Right now I am just afraid this could damage my notebook if I continue to use it. I know it's a tricky question. Any electrian among us?
