Is there any difference from the 1.6ghz t5200 c2d and the 1.66ghz t5500 c2d, other than clock speed? I'm thinking about getting the t5200 just cause its $50 cheaper in customizing my hp dv2000t.

The only difference between the models is that the T5200 operates on a decreased FSB, of 533 MHz. Its basically what Intel did with the Core Duo T2300 and the T2050. In terms of performance, there shouldn't be much of a difference bwteen the two, unless you are doing some really heavy encoding, and even then, the difference might not be two much. There may be a difference in speed, if the FSB gets fully saturated, in which case, the T5200 might pull ahead slightly.

What are you going to be doing with this notebook? Zero is right in that you probably would not notice the difference between the two.
