it's there when i open the case, it's wired and soldered to the main board, however i cannot find a trace of it in the BIOS or the windows device manager.
anyone knows how to make it work? there must be a way...
on a totally unrelated note,i was curious. in the said laptop, could i use a Mini PCIe SSD card as a booteable drive? like using a 32Gb ssd card as a main drive for windows and my 320Gb sata hd for storage? if they are the drives used for installing OS'es on eepc's, there should be a way, no?

You have a point there. I think its the sensor thing on the front but never tried to use it, going to have a look at it tonight.
You could always get a sata ssd drive for internal use and then convert your 320GB sata for external use and connect it through the e-sata port for additional storage

Check that thread. It appears some C90S don't come equipped with it properly also having XP on the machine might also be the cause of it being missing. Mine is one of those after a quick check. Is your C90 running with vista or XP? -
I'm running windows xp, but i also tried windows vista when i first got it. didn't work on vista either. i remember that much.
