This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi, out of 2 Lenovo notebooks I have questions about the DVD/CD specifications: What's the difference between CDRW/DVD Combo & DVDRW?
    I'm not really too concerned about it - as long as I can play both CD's and DVD's. I'm not gonna do any recording or anything like that. Just wasn't sure about the difference between the two. Thanks, Greg

    The CDRW/DVD plays CDs/DVDs and writes CDs. The DVDRW plays CDs/DVDs and writes both CDs and DVDs.
