    Will 24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive be able to burn DVDs?

    By the wording, i dont think so..I think this is a drive that burns cds but can read dvds.

    DVD burners are usually marked as DVD+/-RW. The way you have it typed implies it reads DVDs, does not burn DVDs, but can read and write CDs.

    yeah 24x is beyond the realm of DVD writing speed. if it was able it would have stated something less like 8x or 16x as those are the norm for laptop drives.
