    Hello,

If I get a new CD/DVD drive, how hard is to remove the face plate of the old one and installit to the new drive (if possible can you show me a picture), or is not possible?

    Thanks

    JC

It is not hard to remove it. Just a few latches holding it place that can be undone with a flat head screw driver. Problem is, it might not fit on the other drive if the latch positions & sizes is not identical

Yeah, that is the other problem that I am worrried. I was thinking to get the same brand drive as my laptop came with, which is Samsung, so i get more chance to fit the face plate, but sadly, Samsung is not making DVDRW drive. :(
