I'm a bit confused, just a few days ago I slipped a working audio CD into my cd/dvd drive and I was easily able to acess & enjoy the songs on that CD. Now, all of a sudden as of this morning whenever I slip a CD in it's almost as if the CD drive is not even there and it doesn't recon' that I put in a CD. I even whent to 'My Computer' and looked under ---> "Devices with Removable Storage" and it shows no sign of the CD being in the drive. Does anyone have any idea why this problem may be occuring? If so, please reply with some advice.

    Thank you in advance. (mariano)

first) restarting always helps. note to see if the led lights up to know if the drive motor actually is functioning or not.
second) try removing the drive and re-installing it, if its a removable bay.
third) check to see if its available in the windows device manager (control panel>system>device manager). Do this before and after removing/reinstalling the drive.
fourth) hope you are under warranty in case the drive is defective.
