Go into device manager and open the "+" symbol under disk drives. Then right click and hit search for drivers

I suggest you uninstall whatever channel on the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller has a current transfer rate of UDMA-2 (or possibly PIO). Then go to the to of the list in Device Manager, right click and select Detect New Hardware (or whatever it says). This will reinstall the IDE channel and then whatever is attached. There's no special driver for optical drives.
