Bought an HP Pavilion dv9207us notebook, and have been very pleased with it. There is however, a fault. And thats the CD Drive. When used for long periods of time (usually installing things) it becomes intermittent. And sometimes I can't get it to work at all. This is particularly annoying when installing things that take a long time, as it is usually near the end of the installation that the CD Drive stops working. If I push the CD Drive in a bit, it spins up. I have also noticed that if I accidentally knock pieces of the laptop that are completely unconnected to the CD Drive (e.g. the screen), the CD Drive pops open, all by itself... Is this just crappy hardware? because my drivers are up to date...
The CD Drive is an: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084n ATA device. The rest of my specs....
    1.5GB RAM
    1.77ghz centrino duo
    Geforce Go7600
    120gb ata hdd
    any help much appreciated!
