Ok so I've got the CM Storm laptop cooler have had it plugged for about 10 minutes and so far I'm disappointed. I've paid about 45 euro for this and idle temperatures on CPU/GPU only got lowered by 2-3C on max fan settings (2600 RPM).

Will post more later when I've used it on full CPU/GPU load.

Also, volume on this thing is really high on max speed. I strongly recommend you either use loud speakers or a noise cancelling headset. I'm using the Qpad 1339 so the fan noise isn't an issue for me.

    EDIT:

Ok so here are my thoughts after using it at full fan speed, 3 hours of hardcore BF3 gaming:

    - CPU temps went down about 4-6 degrees.
    - GPU temp went down from 92C / 86C (FN+1 on) to 87-88C / 80-81C (FN+1 on).

So with FN+1 and the cooler at max I lowered my temp about 10C.

What I'm wondering is that won't my laptop fan become weird if it has such a strong fan underneath forcefully blowing air into it?

So is the CM STORM worth the money? - Nope, not really. I think I can OC my GPU a bit more though with the decreased temperature.

I think you are expecting too much out of a laptop cooler, no laptop cooler could magically bring down your temp by 10-20 C, a marginal drop of 5 degrees for CPU/GPU under load is already good for a cooler in my book.

Anyway, idle temp doesn't matter much, see what it can do with load temp.

I was kinda disappointed with the sf 19 myself. But as the above poster mentioned, that's just what a cooler can give you.
I have since sold it and I just prop up the back of my laptop. Doing so, I've been able to lower my temps by 10 c or so- something the sf 19 could never do for me.

Yeah, managed to lower it about 10C with FN+1 active and cooler working at max RPM. Not really worth the money. Oh well at least I know now and hopefully others can make a more informed decision when buying a laptop cooler.
