Hello,
wanted to see if someone knows of some chart(s) that shows Intel CPU Centrino, Pentium M, Core Duo & Core 2 Duo performance.
I know it's a bit silly to ask like this, as configuration of the Laptop matters a lot, but at least in theory, what would the above CPUs be able to do, and how would they compare against each other in terms of speed & multitasking.

I think i can sum up what the general trend would be, but it is difficult to show these processors in an organised way. It depends alot of the rest of the system setup.
In order of speed (Fastest first):
Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.00 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 4 MB L2 Cache)
Core Duo T2500 (2.00 GHz, 667 Mhz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache)
Pentium M 760 (2.00 Ghz, 533 Mhz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache)
Bear in mind, that this list only determines performance where the processor is heavily relied on. For example, in gaming there may not be a huge difference between these processor, provided the rest of the system was the same. However, for a task like encoding, there may be a significant difference between a Pentium M and a Core 2 Duo.
In regard to Centrino, that is simply a package, which either consist of an Intel (either Pentium M, Core Duo or Core 2 Duo), an Intel wireless adapter, and an Intel chipset. It is not just a processor. Hope this helps. -
