Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
It should work... it looks like this originally shipped with 45W quads, so I'd be surprised if the 3740QM didn't work.

Might there be a problem that says platform pc supported? And not fit on laptop motherboard?

do not do it, instead of possible compatibility problems, there will the problem with cpu cooling. the ventilator and the cooling unit is not build for higher tdp

Actually there is the same laptop named with i7 and gets 45-50W on cpu in same case..i'll wait some more and see ..

Generally so long as its in the family of processors your good to upgrade(same socket),,your service manual from your notebook maker should list replacement cpus and other parts for your notebook, check to see the same bios download file is in your notebook as the notebook running the cpu you want to upgrade too( I'm not saying download and install it , if its different). I upgraded from T-53xx 667MHZ to T-6500 800MHz Intel in my Lenovo G530(already sold),,I seen that the same notebook was running the T-6500 from a brochere, of course it had the same bios. It runs well with Windows 7 64 Bit SP1
