    Hello guyz :hi2: I want to upgrade my Fujitsu lifebook Nh532 processor...My current processor asdasdas.png you can also see socket..Found this one New Intel Core i7 3740QM SR0UV Mobile Processor CPU 3rd Gen 2 7 3 7GHz 6M 0735858250375 | eBay and i checked all again and again when i saw this processor is for Desktop Pc? Screenshot_1.png .Found this processor based on my socket from Socket G2 / Socket rPGA988B and now i am messed up and don't know what to do.. Will my laptop Support this one..will it need a bios upgrade or what?

    It should work... it looks like this originally shipped with 45W quads, so I'd be surprised if the 3740QM didn't work.

    Might there be a problem that says platform pc supported? And not fit on laptop motherboard?

    do not do it, instead of possible compatibility problems, there will the problem with cpu cooling. the ventilator and the cooling unit is not build for higher tdp

    Actually there is the same laptop named with i7 and gets 45-50W on cpu in same case..i'll wait some more and see ..

    Generally so long as its in the family of processors your good to upgrade(same socket),,your service manual from your notebook maker should list replacement cpus and other parts for your notebook,check to see the same bios download file is in your notebook as the notebook running the cpu you want to upgrade too( I'm not saying download and install it , if its different). I upgraded from T-53xx 667MHZ to T-6500 800MHz Intel in my Lenovo G530(already sold),,I seen that the same notebook was running the T-6500 from a brochere, of course it had the same bios. It runs well with Windows 7 64 Bit SP1
