    I have a Dell Vostro 1500 with Core 2 Duo T5470 1.6 MHz.

I am planning to upgrade to Core 2 Duo T7300 (2.0 MHz) or Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2 MHz) in a month or so.

Would my current Dell be able to take one of the above CPU?

Yes, there shouldnt be any issues since both the T7300 and T7500 both share the same socket as the T540 and the BIOS should support these processors as well.

However, you'd void the warranty. Unless you can get dell to do it for you.
