    CPU Upgrade Tecra M3

    I want to upgrade my cpu in the M3 but i'm not sure what i can use. im looking at pentium M 2.13 but they are pretty expensive for their speeds but they will work for sure. i was wondering about the core 2's what options do i have? ill put some cpu-z screenshots up. thanks, will

    None, they're a different socket and therefore not compatible. Add a faster hard drive and/or more memory. You'll get more bang there.

    well i allready have 2gb of ram and i just got a new hard drive. would it be hard to change the cpu to the 2.13 (is it soldered down or anything?)

    Nowadays only the ultraportables have the CPU soldered of the board.

    just a little update in case anyone wants to upgrade the tecra M3. its pretty easy. take out all the screws you can find, take the cover off remove the heatsink and the cpu will come out eaisily. i swapped to the 2.13 pentium m 770 with no problems.
