    Hello all!

I bought a Dell XPS L501X in 2010. I would like to upgrade the cpu if possible. My question is what cpu's are compatible with this machine or will work? FYI my knowledge is limited when it come to computer upgrades so take it easy on me! I do a lot of media production. PREMIER PRO CC, AFTER EFFECTS ect. Also use this machine for my flight simulator software and would like to get better performance out of that.

    I am running windows 7 with i7 - Q 840 and 8gb of Ram.

I know I can upgrade the ram which I will do but I have not found any information on which processors will work on my machine.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

The only faster chips are the 920/940xm, but I'm not sure if the l501x can take 55W Extremes.
