    CPU is constantly at 75 degrees

    anyone had this problem before? it is affecting the fan because even when cold its running at full speed.

    Is this in your alienware?
    I think that you may be best undervolting your processor and using trusted monitoring software like core temp to give you cpu temperatures.
    75C is high for cold booting, and it really should not be that high.
    I think the problem is not your processor but the cpu thermal diode on the motherboard. It may have gotten too hot at one point, and the two conductive pieces in the diode fused, resulting in the system always thinking the cpu is blazing hot.

    If the temps are low, than what I mentioned is probably the case, but if the temperatures are that high from startup, you might have a heatsink connection issue.

    no when i start and the computer is very cool it still says 75c. when i am gaming it is still 75c.

    idle hdd is about 30. high about 40.

    but it means i can never stop the fan!
