Seconded. Also, you can't buy laptop DDR2 at 1200MHz.

It is too difficult to answer your question since we don't know the rest of your system specs.

Yes if only you could post the specs... But as just for general advice, RAM upgrades for laptops are a different thing compared to desktops in terms of price ranges.. I would suggest going for the processor upgrade.

You can actually. It's also very easily overclockable to 1200mhz+ with some ddr2 800 ram. E.G. Crucial Bullistix series. Mine can overclock to over 1250mhz with 2.1v vidimm, 5-5-5-16 timing.

    WRONG!

Crucial Ballistix are DESKTOP memory ONLY..Commander Wolf is referring to laptop memories, not desktop.. and beside, no crucial ballistix can be OC-ed to 1250 Mhz @ 2.1 VDIMM..

1200 Mhz OC itself is super duper hard..

1250 Mhz OC -> nearly impossible... even if u can do it somehow, it WON'T RUN ON 2.1 VDIMM..

Please post screenshot.. otherwise, dont make up some lies..

If jackluo is in error, then I am sure that it was an honest mistake. You might want to think things over before you accuse someone of lying; it is of course a very serious accusation.

@OP: which upgrade you want to go for largely depends on the tasks you're going to run, the cost, and the upgradability of your laptop.

Taking a look at his previous posts here at NBR, it seems that butter30 may be referring to his laptop.
