They can help you out -
is below 60 degrees ok?
-
yeah, umar thats perfect. a nything around 80-90C is when u have start to cool everything down. maybe hold off on playing crysis a bit.
-
below 60 C is fine. Mine never goes below 60, and often strays into the 70s. But mine is an ultraportable.
-
Under 60c is very good.
-
yeah, its fine but the lower the better.
-
my laptop rarely breaks 60c,,, only if being stress-tested using ORTHOS
maybe the undervolt to 0.95v might be helping too -
thanks guys

forgot to mention that most socketP cpus are rated by intel to operate at up to 100c
but i'd never wanna run mine that hot... -
and I worry about mine when I'm gaming and it gets above 70c, lol  -
so what is the T8300, socket P right?
-
Yup...running at 100C means that it is on the verge of dying...if not already dead...
-
Guys 100C is really bad for those chips. Solder practically melts at that temperature. It seems that almost every laptop has crappy insufficient cooling. My cpu stays under 55C even under full load of 125 watts for hours on end.

K-TRON you do have uber special fans...
-
Actually that is with the stock cpu fans. I am still waiting on getting the customized cpu fans from PAPST, which should drop my load temperatures to about 45C.
K-TRON -
looking at your sig, it's hard to tell which one -
I am pretty sure the 125watt tdp tells you it is my power hungry Opteron processor.
Its the U709 one
I am limited by 400characters or so in the signature, if not I would list more laptops I own
