    Hi,

I just had a yearly format, and now it seems i'm facing some problems with the CPU. The previous format, my cpu would always idle in 1.2ghz and go up to 2.0ghz when needed (for example, playing counterstrike source). But this time, after installing rightmark CPU clock utility, the figures were different:

My cpu would only stay at 0.8ghz (something's telling me there's nothing wrong with this), but then when i needed the power, it wouldn't go to 2.0ghz. Now i've put off all managements inside the rightmark utility and put my windows setting to home/office.

Now my CPU switches constantly inbetween 1.2 and 2.0 ghz, but the "throttle" always stays at 2.0, while my previous format it would go up and down together with the clock.

here's an image to illustrate the problem:

Anyone knows how to fix this? I'm not a CPU scientist so I can't really start chaning all those stuff in rightmark

Try disabling all the Enhanced low power states in the Advanced CPU settings....Then assign it a fixed VID, multiplier in one of the profiles.

thx for the help, but i just figured it out :p

in my profile settings, i had to chose my transitions, so to get 1.2 and 2.0 steps i needed to select 1 and 5 and keep the throttle going with it all the way (= 100%) :p

so now it jumps from 1.2 to 2.0 when power is needed, nothing in between, how i like it :D
