    Hi guys , Im wanting to know if a 2.1 duo will work in my DV9000.

    the one im running now is a 1.6 duo , code name taylor , socket S1 (638)

    also , my ram speed is 555 can I upgrade to 667 , will this be faster than the 555 bus speed .

    If you're looking to upgrade your CPU, one that was offered on the DV9000z is probably a good place to start. I would say buying a faster drive or SSD is probably more likely yield a more difference in performance for most uses.
